Health Care Providers have been impacted by the economic problems in the United States. Patients are reducing or delaying treatments. So even if your medical practice has healthy revenues, it still could be better!

Health Care Providers

If you accept Medicare patients, you’re likely getting claims reimbursements that are less than from private payers. And is you accept Medicaid, the picture is even worse.

You know you need to automate.  You are aware of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and their requirements. You know that Medicare and Medicaid health care providers are required to get electronic health record (EHR) software.

But it takes TIME and MONEY on your part!

An easy way to solve the Money part is to get the EHR incentive payments for electronic health record adoption. The HITECH Act mandates that you put in an EHR by 2014 or else you get penalized on your Medicaid and Medicare reimbursements for medical claims.

Adopting an electronic health record system is one step. Then Medicare requires health care providers to do additional registrations. To qualify for the Medicare incentive payments, you also have to meet Stage 1 Meaningful Use criteria in 2011… That is, unless you’re a Medicaid health care provider.

It’s EASY to get your Medicaid Incentive Payment!

If you’re a pediatrician and you had a 20% Medicaid patient load during a 90 day period last year
Or
If you’re an eligible provider who had a 30% Medicaid patient load during a 90 day period last year,
All you have to do is buy EHR software!

You don’t have to meet meaningful use criteria.
You don’t have to use the system at all.
And you qualify for $21,500!

Electronic Health Record System ContractHow’s that for Easy MONEY?

One article even said, all you have to do is sign a contract for electronic health record software and you qualify for the $21,500!

A $21,500 gift from the government. – The first year only.
After that you have to step up your game.

Note: Georgia health care providers still have to wait. The Georgia Medicaid EHR incentive program is not finalized yet. It is expected that you will be able to attest for your electronic health record system in September 2011 and begin receiving your $21,500 checks in October.
